Using ShopBack in Hong Kong: choose your discounts, track the order and collect cashback

By JengDeal editor· Last verified: 9 October 2026 (HKT)· 7 min read

A shopping workflow from choosing a discount route to reporting missing cashback. Understand the welcome requirements before treating pending rewards as spendable money.

Pick your route before placing the order

  • Use a merchant voucher directly: check the spend requirement, validity and final payment. Having a voucher is not a reason to fill the basket.
  • Buy through ShopBack: check product, payment and code exclusions before considering cashback that might later be confirmed.
  • Pay with a rewards card: check the issuer's registration, caps and transaction rules separately. Owning the card does not make every payment eligible.

Match the offer to its small print

Compare the same item including delivery, fees and currency costs. Treat pending cashback as money not yet received.

From clicking through to completing payment

  1. Open the merchant page and note the conditions, accepted codes and expected tracking period.
  2. Empty the existing basket as instructed, click through from ShopBack, then add your items again.
  3. Check that cookies and tracking are not blocked by an ad blocker; switch off a VPN.
  4. Stay on the same device and avoid detours through other adverts or offer links.
  5. Before paying, check automatically applied codes and your payment method. Save the complete order and terms.
  6. For the next order, return to ShopBack and click through again. Do not rely on the previous purchase route.

Count the Taobao voucher and forwarding bill properly

With a Taobao welcome voucher, compare the voucher route against an eligible ShopBack purchase without it. Do not add both rewards and assume a win. The Hong Kong Taobao ordering guide explains welcome vouchers and delivery or forwarding choices.

Forwarding has a separate bill. Buy&Ship welcome credits have their own first-order requirements and do not reduce the shop's product price. Weight, delivery choice and surcharges change the total, so avoid opening an unnecessary order for a signup reward.

Extra HK$30 for new users

ShopBack’s HK$30 welcome is not an instant reward for one shop. Use A5NtMe when joining, then meet all three gates: a confirmed order over HK$120, HK$50 confirmed shopping cashback and withdrawal details; buy what you need rather than spending to unlock a bonus.

Requirement: One confirmed order over HK$120; HK$50 confirmed transaction cashback excluding challenges/bonuses; updated withdrawal details

Why an order over HK$120 might not unlock your welcome

This referral shows Extra HK$30 for new users, but the official referee list has three conditions: one merchant-confirmed order over HK$120, HK$50 in accumulated confirmed transaction cashback, and updated withdrawal details. All three are needed to confirm the signup bonus.

Spending and cashback are different amounts. Challenges and other bonus rewards do not count towards that HK$50; the welcome cannot fund its own eligibility gate. Use your own new account and the referral link or code during initial registration.

Campaign eligibility follows the signup screen and official terms; the reviewed pages give no universal closing date. Build qualifying transactions through shopping you already need, rather than buying more to unlock a reward.

A tracked order and withdrawable money are different stages. Travel cashback often depends on completion of the trip.

Missing order: do not lose the 30-day window

  1. General help says most merchants track in about two days, but check the estimate for your merchant.
  2. If the order remains absent after tracking, report it within 30 days of ordering, rather than waiting for confirmation.
  3. Prepare a full confirmation showing items, date, order number, original price, discounts, taxes, fees and actual payment.
  4. Find the shopping visit in ShopBack's history; without it you may be unable to report the order. A request to come back later is not a submitted claim. Keep the successful submission confirmation.

Another HK$50 check at withdrawal

Official withdrawal help requires at least HK$50 in withdrawable transaction cashback, excluding bonus rewards, and supports a bank account or FPS. Understand this withdrawal condition separately from the HK$50 in confirmed transaction cashback required for the welcome.

The stated transfer processing period is ten working days. It does not mean an order pays you within ten days. Refunds, cancellation, amendments or exchanges can lead to rejection; leave pending rewards out of the household budget.

FAQ

Should I still use ShopBack if I have a voucher?
Check the merchant first. Some accept only specified codes; the Klook page excludes any code. Compare the voucher route with an eligible cashback route before choosing.
Does the welcome's HK$50 mean HK$50 of shopping?
It means HK$50 in confirmed transaction cashback, excluding challenges or other bonuses. You also need a confirmed order over HK$120 and updated withdrawal details.
Should I report a pending order as missing?
An order already recorded is different from no record. Check its confirmation estimate; for a completely absent order, investigate after tracking and observe the general 30-day reporting limit.
Can I always add card cashback?
Check the bank's transaction categories, registration and caps alongside the merchant's payment restrictions. This guide does not promise that card rewards can always stack.
