Best for

Anyone after Japanese sneakers or Pokémon and One Piece card boxes who worries about fakes and can wait a week or two.

SNKRDUNK's big selling point is authentication: the seller has to ship to its centre in Japan first, the item only comes to you once it passes, and the seller only gets paid after that. The trade-off is a 3.5% fee, a usual wait of 5 to 15 days, no cancelling once you've paid, and no returns just because you changed your mind. The HK$38 coupon from 8MFNX9 only works on items of US$80 (about HK$620) or more, and below HK$1,086 it covers the fee in full. Use it if you already know what you want; don't let the coupon talk you into buying.

Pros

  • Every item goes through the authentication centre in Japan and only ships if it passes
  • Authentication is included in the 3.5% fee, no extra charge
  • Shipping is already in the checkout total, so you know the full cost before paying
  • Hong Kong users' terms run under Hong Kong law, with disputes in Hong Kong courts
  • Spot a problem within 7 days of delivery and you can claim a refund or full compensation
  • Highly rated apps: 4.9 on the App Store (Hong Kong), 4.8 on Google Play

Watch-outs

  • Once you've paid there's no cancelling, not even for the wrong size
  • Wrong fit or changed your mind? No returns
  • Usually 5 to 15 days, no express option
  • Cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay only: no FPS, no Octopus
  • Home addresses only: no office, hotel or forwarding addresses
  • The HK$38 coupon only works on items of US$80 (about HK$620) or more

1. What is SNKRDUNK?

SNKRDUNK is a resale marketplace run by SODA inc. in Tokyo. In Japan it's called Sunidan, and the international app is SNKRDUNK TCG & Sneakers. It matches individual sellers with buyers for sneakers, streetwear, Pokémon, One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards (singles and sealed boxes), plus collectibles like POP MART and BE@RBRICK, and the app says more than six million collectors use it.

Hong Kong is an officially supported delivery destination, but the international version is buy-only: SNKRDUNK has switched off selling outside Japan, so you can't sell from Hong Kong. Article 22 of the Terms of Use says Hong Kong residents are covered by Hong Kong law, with disputes going to Hong Kong courts.

2. How to get the HK$38 coupon

Tap our link and open a new account with invitation code , and a Hong Kong account shows a HK$38 coupon (SNKRDUNK prices it in yen, at ¥750). Before it's issued you need to verify your email, pass SMS verification and register a delivery address. If it doesn't drop in automatically, tap our invitation link again while logged in, or enter the code yourself under Account > Profile > Coupon Menu. Don't put it in the Limited Time Coupon box.

It's one invitation code per person or phone number, and incomplete details or one person running several accounts means no coupon. If you've had the SDWLCM Welcome Coupon you can't get the invitation coupon, and once you've used an invitation code you can't get the welcome one either, so pick one. Full disclosure: 8MFNX9 is our own invitation code, and when you register SNKRDUNK gives us a coupon of the same face value too.

Six steps to the HK$38 invitation coupon: sign up through our invitation link; verify email and SMS; add a Hong Kong home address with post code 999077; set Account > Currency to HKD and check the Coupons list; no coupon, enter 8MFNX9 under Coupon Menu; at Confirm Purchase, pick the coupon for an item of US$80 (about HK$620) or more. Valid 30 days, one per order, gone if you cancel for personal reasons.

3. When the coupon works and how long it lasts

The coupon only works on items priced at the equivalent of US$80 (¥12,000, roughly HK$620) or more. You pick it yourself on the Confirm Purchase screen, and you can't add it once the transaction has started; it's one coupon per order or cart. Set Account > Currency to HKD first, because the coupon shows in your account currency.

SNKRDUNK's June 2026 coupon notice says it lasts 30 days including the day it's issued, but an old note on the invitation page still says 14. Go by the expiry date in your Coupons list, and the safe move is to use it within 14 days. Cancel a transaction yourself after using the coupon and it's gone; if the seller is the reason for a cancellation, you get it back. The campaign can change or end at any time.

4. Doing the maths: is HK$38 worth it?

The coupon comes off the item price, but every order still carries the 3.5% purchase fee. Buy something right at the HK$620 threshold and the fee is HK$21.70, so you're HK$16.30 ahead after the coupon. At about HK$1,086 the fee is exactly HK$38, and on a HK$2,000 item the fee is HK$70, so the coupon only covers about half.

Say you buy a HK$1,200 item: add the HK$42 fee, take off the HK$38 coupon, and it's HK$1,204 before shipping. So the coupon basically wipes out the fee on your first order; it isn't a big discount. When you compare prices, use the checkout total with shipping against what the same item really sells for elsewhere.

HK$38 coupon vs the 3.5% fee: on a HK$620 item the fee is HK$21.70, leaving you HK$16.30 ahead; on a HK$1,086 item the fee is HK$38 and they cancel out; on a HK$2,000 item the fee is HK$70 and the coupon covers about half. Shipping is added to the checkout total separately.

5. How the authentication works

Once a deal is done, the seller ships to SNKRDUNK's authentication centre in Japan. Authenticators check every item, the ones that pass get an SNKRDUNK authentication badge, and then the platform packs and ships them, without either side seeing the other's personal details. SNKRDUNK holds your money in the meantime, and if an item turns out to be fake you get a full refund.

Sealed card boxes get checked for factory seals, card condition and printing markers, and the app says it uses X-ray tech to help catch fakes. The terms let the platform open packaging and take out insoles, laces and accessories to check them, and original packing materials don't come back. Items are photographed during checks so nobody can swap them when sending something back.

6. Fees, shipping and how to pay

Signing up is free. Every purchase carries a 3.5% fee on the purchase price (tax included), and authentication is part of that. Shipping depends on where you are and the parcel's weight and size, and goes straight into the checkout total. Buy two or more sneakers or single cards in one cart and shipping is discounted from the second item; sealed card boxes and packs pay a flat rate per set, which SNKRDUNK's example puts at US$34 a set. If a cancellation is ever allowed in special cases, it costs 10% of the purchase price.

You can pay with Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, UnionPay or Maestro (3D Secure required), PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and nothing else, so no FPS and no Octopus. Klarna instalments are only in the US and Australia. The app is English only.

7. How long's the wait, and how do I enter my address?

SNKRDUNK says it usually takes 5 to 15 days from the start of the transaction to your door: about 1 to 4 days for the seller to prepare, 1 to 2 days to reach the authentication centre, 1 to 4 days for checks and packing, and 2 to 5 days to get to you. There's no express option and you can't pick a delivery date. Each listing shows the seller's average shipping time, so go for sellers who ship in 0 to 1 day if you're in a hurry.

It only ships to personal home addresses. Offices, warehouses, hotels and forwarders are out, and using one can get your account temporarily blocked at payment. For a Hong Kong address, the post code is 999077 and City is your district (for example, Central), not Hong Kong. If the courier finds nobody home and the parcel goes back, you pay for redelivery.

From payment to your door usually takes 5 to 15 days: the seller prepares in 1 to 4 days, the item reaches authentication in 1 to 2 days, checks and packing take 1 to 4 days, and delivery to Hong Kong takes 2 to 5 days. If the seller misses the deadline you can ask to cancel; anything unshipped after 30 days is cancelled and refunded automatically; you have 7 days after delivery to report an item that falls short.

8. Any tax on deliveries to Hong Kong?

SNKRDUNK only collects duties and taxes at checkout for the US, Canada, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. Hong Kong isn't on the list, so any charge would be collected by the courier at the door.

Hong Kong is a free port and Customs only taxes four things: liquor, tobacco, hydrocarbon oil and methyl alcohol. Sneakers, clothes and cards normally come in duty-free. If a parcel gets held up at clearance, the courier may charge handling or storage fees, and that's nothing to do with SNKRDUNK.

9. Cancellations, returns and fakes

Once you've paid you can't cancel, even for the wrong size or a double order. There are just two exceptions: if the seller misses the shipping deadline, you can ask to cancel in the transaction chat or by emailing [email protected]; and if nothing has shipped 30 days after the transaction started, the system cancels it. If it's cancelled because the seller didn't ship, you get your money back and your coupon too (some promotional coupons excepted).

There are no exchanges, and no returns for fit or a change of heart. If an item doesn't meet the platform's standards you have to say so within 7 days of delivery, with the authentication badge or sticker still on, all accessories present, and the item unworn and unused; minor scuffs or marks within the authentication standards don't count. If it's approved, send it back for a refund to your original payment method, or take a coupon instead.

Think you've got a fake? Follow the full-compensation process: email support and send the item back (cash on delivery is fine). The platform checks it again, and if it still thinks it's fine, a third-party authenticator decides. Fake means a full refund of the price; genuine means the item comes back to you. If what you return doesn't match the photos taken at authentication, there's no compensation.

10. What do users say?

On 24 October 2026, SNKRDUNK TCG & Sneakers had 4.9 on the App Store (Hong Kong) from 396 ratings and 4.8 on Google Play from 818 reviews, with more than 100,000 downloads.

The big gripes: with seller prep and authentication, even one card can take two weeks; sellers not shipping and transactions getting cancelled; sold-out items still letting you reach checkout before throwing an error; and outer cases of sealed card boxes arriving dented with no way to return them. The praise is mostly about reliable authentication and items arriving in great shape.

Who should go for it, and who shouldn't

Go for it if you want Japanese sneakers, card boxes or singles, care about authentication before dispatch, can wait a week or two, and check size and model properly before ordering. The HK$38 coupon does the most when your first order is between HK$620 and about HK$1,086.

Skip it if you need same-day or scheduled delivery, want the option to return things, only pay by FPS or Octopus, can only receive at an office or forwarding address, or want to sell.
