Let's be upfront: our partner link opens KKday's own website, and if you book and go, KKday may pay us a commission. Thing 1: What KKday is, and who runs it in Hong Kong
KKday is a travel experience platform set up in Taipei in 2014; the app is published by Kkday.com International Company Limited. Local suppliers provide the tickets, tours and transport, while KKday sells them, takes your money and does customer service; the Hong Kong app page says online support is available in Chinese and English.
The Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong's travel agent directory lists Well C Travel Limited, trading as KKDAY, under licence number 353679, covering outbound package tours, ticketing, flight-plus-hotel, hotel bookings and cruise packages. The licence covers the agent; for a standalone ticket or local activity, whether you get a refund depends on the product page's cancellation policy.
Thing 2: How booking through our link works
Our link opens KKday's own website with our partner code added. It's KKday's own KKpartners affiliate programme, and the code tracks the visits and orders that come over from partner sites. You sign up, book, pay and get vouchers from KKday exactly like on kkday.com, and you switch language and currency in KKday's menu.
Straight up: book through this link and KKday may pay us a commission. KKday works it out on what you actually paid after coupons, only counts experiences that have happened, and leaves out any order cancelled by you or the supplier.
Thing 3: What free members get
Signing up costs nothing, and you're a Silver member straight away. KKday's member benefits page lists four levels, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, and says Silver members earn the full standard KKday Points with no cap.
The perks it lists: use points as shopping cash once you have 50, swap points for gifts and experiences, a birthday discount code, member missions and priority customer service. Which ones your level gets? Your account shows it.
Thing 4: Birthday code and missions, sort them before your first booking
The birthday code lands on the 1st of your birthday month, but only if your member profile is filled in, so do it right after you sign up. Member missions give you experience points or KKday Points for set tasks; find them from the "Mine" page in the app.
Got a code? Put it in at checkout and check the total drops before you pay. If it doesn't, ask the app's customer service or email [email protected] before paying; don't pay first and chase it later.
Thing 5: Doing the maths on a HK$750 trip
Say you book a HK$300 attraction ticket in Japan plus a HK$450 airport transfer. You pay HK$750. KKday Points give 1 point for every US dollar actually paid on each order: HK$300 is about US$38.25 and HK$450 about US$57.37, so roughly 95 points in total, worth about US$0.48 (about HK$3.73). That's around 0.5% back. 95 points clears the 50-point bar, so you can use them on your next order once they land.
The charging currency matters way more. If the order is charged in yen and your card adds a 1.95% foreign transaction fee, the trip costs you an extra HK$14.63, nearly four times the points. So pick KKday for the product, the price and the cancellation terms, pay in Hong Kong dollars when you can, and treat the points as a little bonus.
Thing 6: Cancellations and refunds
Every product has its own cancellation policy, shown on the product page and in your confirmation email; flash deals and some physical vouchers can't be refunded. Cancellation deadlines run on the supplier's local time; KKday's product pages say a cancellation takes 2 to 5 business days to process, then the money goes back the way you paid, and when it lands depends on your bank.
KKday's help centre says some cases get a full refund if you can prove them, like a cancelled or delayed flight, a natural disaster at the destination that stops the tour going ahead, or a close relative passing away or being terminally ill. If that happens, get on to KKday's customer service right away and keep the airline's or supplier's notice as proof.
Thing 7: How to pay
The Hong Kong app page lists Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay, Octopus, PayMe and Atome, among others. On the final payment screen, check which currency you're being charged in; some credit cards charge a fee on transactions processed overseas even when they settle in Hong Kong dollars, so ask your bank if you're not sure.
KKday's terms of use warn that a refund can differ from what you paid because of exchange rates and fees from KKday, your card company or the payment processor. Keep the confirmation email and voucher for every order; you'll need them if you ever have to chase KKday, the supplier or your bank.
Thing 8: What KKday Points are worth
Members get 1 point for every US dollar paid (after coupons and discounts), with other currencies converted at the US dollar rate; points land within a week after the experience. Once you have 50, you can use points at checkout: every 50 points take US$0.25 off an order of US$1 or more, so the base return is about 0.5%. You can also swap points for rewards and coupons.
Unused points expire 12 months after you earn them; KKday's own example is points earned on 23 October expiring on 30 September the next year. Points belong to your account only, can't be passed on and have no cash value, and KKday can change the scheme any time. Because points and thresholds are in US dollars, the Hong Kong dollar value moves a little with the exchange rate.
Thing 9: What users moan about
On 24 October 2026 KKday had 4.7 stars from 75,028 ratings on the Hong Kong App Store and 4.7 from 77,400 reviews on Google Play, with more than a million downloads. Fans mostly mention professional guides, on-time transfers and easy booking.
The moans come down to four things: suppliers cancelling just before departure, with refunds slower than promised; the app failing to show a QR code or voucher on the spot, so people had to buy again; the app buckling during limited-time sales; and some orders you can't cancel yourself once paid. Read the cancellation policy and save vouchers offline beforehand and you'll dodge most of the traps.
Thing 10: Who it's for, and who can skip it
It's for: Hongkongers about to travel who need a few tickets, day tours, transport passes or transfers and want it all sorted before they fly. Fill in your member profile first, and check each product's cancellation policy and charging currency before you pay.
Skip it if: you need every order to be free to cancel, or you want a cash reward. The points are too small to change your mind.
