JengDeal pick: Brilliant by Langham, 10,000 points a time if you are already going

A straight Hong Kong read of Brilliant by Langham: the 10,000-point screen, the US$20 bar, the 15% dining line, and the date the points stop.

Best for

Hong Kong readers who already have a Langham, Cordis or Eaton bill coming up and want the points without a lecture.

Going anyway? Enrol on this page by 31 December 2026. The in-app screen puts 10,000 Bonus Award Points in your account after each of your first three eligible spends of at least US$20. A clean US$20 also earns 600 Award Points and 600 Status Points under the programme terms. Designated Hong Kong restaurants show 15% off. Book the room on Booking.com and you get none of it. Earning stops on 12 January 2027, and nobody has published what one point is worth in dollars.

Pros

  • 10,000 points a pop, three pops max
  • US$20 is one modest meal if the restaurant is actually in
  • 15% at designated Hong Kong restaurants
  • Free Onyx start, no status points needed to open it
  • Topaz maths is US$400 of clean eligible spend
  • You can chase missing points for six months

Watch-outs

  • Sign-up on its own is worth zero points
  • The screen never says what eligible means, and the * note was cropped
  • Booking.com, Expedia, Ctrip and Fliggy stays are named as no-point bookings
  • You have to be there and pay the bill yourself
  • 12 January 2027 is the earning cutoff
  • Eaton Hong Kong's Food Hall and Rice and Roast at Great Eagle Centre are on the out list

Up to 30,000 pts

Enrol in Brilliant by Langham through this link on or before 31 December 2026. The in-app referral screen says your first three eligible transactions of at least US$20 each put 10,000 Bonus Brilliant Award Points into your account, up to 30,000. Signing up alone pays nothing, the screen never says how many days crediting takes, and the * footnote was missing from the screenshot.

Requirement: Enrol through this link by 31 December 2026, then spend at least US$20 on each eligible transaction

Full claim instructions are on the Brilliant by Langham offer page.

1. The short version

Brilliant is Langham Hospitality Group's free club, run by Brilliant Loyalty Program Limited. In Hong Kong that means The Langham, Hong Kong plus the Cordis and Eaton hotels that actually participate, and Ying'nFlo. Food Hall inside Eaton Hotel, Hong Kong, Rice and Roast at Great Eagle Centre, and the Eaton residences on Blue Pool Road and Village Road are written down as non-participating.

Eighteen or over, never registered before, email ready. Mainland China sign-ups also need a mobile number. You land on Onyx.

2. How the 10,000 shows up

Screenshot from the app, 17 October 2026: enrol with the member's own link on or before 31 December 2026 and you count as the invited member. Then each eligible transaction of at least US$20 drops 10,000 Bonus Brilliant Award Points into your account. First three only. That is 30,000 if you clear all three.

The picture does not say which spend qualifies, what sits inside the US$20, or how many days later the points appear. The little * was off the bottom of the shot. The public terms pages do not repeat 10,000. Live screen wins if they argue.

Three spends of at least US$20, 10,000 points each

3. The ordinary points hiding underneath

Separate from that bonus, and only until 11 January 2027, every US$5 of eligible spend is 150 Award Points and 150 Status Points. They pay in five-dollar chunks, and they want at least US$10 before anything posts. Spend from before you joined is invisible.

So a tidy US$20 is 600 and 600. The bonus is not described as Status Points, so don't count those 10,000 toward a tier. Topaz is 12,000 Status Points: US$400 of fully eligible spend in exact five-dollar steps. Diamond is US$3,600 on the same sum. Onyx gets a 0% elite kicker. Topaz gets 10% extra Award Points.

US$20 split into 600 plus 600, with 10,000 bonus points alongside

4. The 15% and the catches at the table

Member benefits, same day: designated Hong Kong restaurants, 15% off. Outside Hong Kong, Onyx and Topaz 5%, Diamond and above 10%. The terms cap one discounted bill at 20 people.

Be in the restaurant, ask before you pay, pay with your own card. No stacking with other offers. You can't burn Award Points on a bill that already took the discount. You can still earn on it.

5. The bookings that pay you nothing

Your name on the booking, you in the room, membership number given, you paying. Ctrip, Booking.com, Expedia and Fliggy are the examples the terms pick for zero points. Same fate for wholesale rates, free rooms, airline-delay rates, and a 14-night long-stay deal.

Up to three rooms in one booking can earn Award Points if you sleep in one and pay for all. Status Points: your room only. Points still missing after three days? Claim inside six months. A win takes four to six weeks, the terms say.

6. Two deadlines, twelve days apart

Bonus enrolment: 31 December 2026, from the app screen. Ordinary earning dies on 12 January 2027, and a stay that checks out that day or later earns no Award Points or Status Points. You can still redeem Award Points until 11 January 2028. Anything expiring later gets pulled in to that date. No cash-out. Vouchers you already redeemed have to be used by then too.

The app screen does not promise the 10,000 points a free pass around that.

31 December 2026, 12 January 2027, 11 January 2028

7. Go, or don't

Go if the hotel or the meal is already happening and you can book it the Brilliant way, or pay in person somewhere that participates. One US$20 dinner can be one 10,000.

Don't bother for a package rate, a restaurant on the out list, or if you wanted money in a bank. Already a member? The FAQ says you can't start again.

FAQ

Points just for downloading?
None. You need an eligible US$20 spend, up to three of them, and you have to be in by 31 December 2026.
What's the Hong Kong dining cut?
15% at designated Hong Kong restaurants, on the benefits page. Onyx is 5% once you leave Hong Kong.
Is 10,000 points a tier jump?
No. Tiers use Status Points. The screen calls the bonus Award Points.
Food Hall at Eaton, in or out?
Out. The terms list it with Rice and Roast at Great Eagle Centre.
I booked on Expedia. Can I add the number later?
The terms treat that channel as non-earning. They don't offer a repair.
Last day to spend the points?
11 January 2028, from the terms read on 17 October 2026.
