DOPA Oripa Guide: Ripping Japanese Pokémon Cards, Points Swaps, HK Postage and the 10-Day Deadline

DOPA is an online oripa shipping out of Japan, big on Japanese Pokémon cards, and lets you swap unwanted cards for points at market value. We went through the official guides and terms: what points are worth, paying, postage, the 10-day window, the invite code and the risks.
Paid random packs and draws work like gambling or loot boxes: the outcome is down to chance and the expected value is usually below what you pay. 18+ only. Check your local law first, set a budget you can afford to lose, and never chase losses.
What's DOPA all about?
DOPA is the overseas version of a Japanese oripa (homemade lucky-bag pack) platform: buy points in US dollars, spend them on "digital packs" and the physical cards inside are revealed on the spot. Every pack lists its whole prize pool and each card's odds, so you know your chances before you rip.
Afterwards you can keep a card, add it to a shipment, or swap it into points at 100% of market value and go again. DOPA says its team in Japan handles and packs every card by hand, and delivery usually takes 7–10 days.
DOPA charges, all in one table
| What | How it's charged |
|---|---|
| Pack price | Priced in points (1,000pt = US$10); no official price range given |

| Base postage | Shipment worth below US$10: US$20; US$10–29.99: US$15; US$30–99.99: US$10; US$100 or more: free |
| Overseas surcharge | Added for destinations outside the US, shown on the shipping screen; the recipient pays duties |
| Refunds | Points you've bought don't get refunded |

Why DOPA's fun
- Every pack shows its whole prize pool and odds, no guesswork.
- Unwanted cards swap to points at 100% of market value, so you don't have to flip them yourself.
- Japanese cards go worldwide, and both the site and support speak Traditional Chinese.
DOPA's traps
- Points can't be cashed or refunded; swapped points only buy more packs or postage.
- Hong Kong orders pick up an overseas surcharge you only see on the shipping screen.
- The 10-day window is tight, and after that cards quietly become points.
How do DOPA cards get to Hong Kong?
DOPA's help centre says anyone with a valid delivery address and email can use it. Japanese cards go everywhere; English cards only within the US and Canada, so Hong Kong players will mostly be ripping Japanese cards. Postage starts with a base fee set by your cards' total point value, then adds a surcharge by destination; the Hong Kong figure is confirmed on the shipping screen and isn't published anywhere else. Anything not shipped in 10 days turns into points, so check My Cards often.
The points-swap rules
DOPA won't buy cards back for cash. Instead it turns unwanted cards into points at market value (it calls this 100% of value). Swapped points work exactly like bought ones for packs or postage, but the help centre is clear that no points, however you got them, can ever become cash. So the only way to get value out of DOPA is shipping real cards, and that costs money.

FAQ
- Can I turn DOPA points into money?
- No. The help centre says points, whether bought or swapped from cards, never become cash; they only open packs or pay postage. Bought points aren't refunded either.
- What does DOPA charge to post to Hong Kong?
- The base fee depends on your cards' total value (US$20 below US$10, free from US$100), plus an overseas surcharge. The Hong Kong surcharge isn't published, so check the shipping screen.
- When should I type the DOPA invite code?
- Type ENKHCE at sign-up and verify your phone; the reward arrives after your first points purchase, with the amount in the offer status above.
