Clove Oripa Guide: クローブオリパ Points, the 30-Day Cutoff and What HK Postage Costs

Clove is a Japanese oripa (original pack, a prize bag the seller puts together) site: spend Clove points (1 point = ¥1) on one oripa draw and you get one of its prizes. On 6 October draws went from single-digit points up to 25,000 points; each product page has the real price.

Every prize has a "return point" value (what it swaps back into). Within 30 days of winning you can ask for it to be posted, or swap it for points and draw again. The site has Traditional Chinese and English screens, but the Japanese terms and legal notice are the ones that count.

Hong Kong sits in the same postage band as Taiwan, Singapore, Macau, South Korea and Thailand: while your unsent prizes total under 10,000 return points, each shipment costs 1,500 points; at 10,000 or more it's free. Orders without figures usually leave in 1–7 business days (1–10 with figures), then overseas delivery adds about 5–14 days. The terms put customs and import paperwork mainly on you, so set some cash aside for duties. Some prizes ship from warehouses outside Japan, marked on the item picture.

No cash buyback at Clove. Within 30 days a prize can only be swapped for Clove points at its return-point value; after 30 days it counts as abandoned. Points last 180 days from issue, and the terms say you can't ask for points to be turned into cash in any situation, or cancel bought points or draws. Some labels on the site are worked out from Clove's own return points, and Clove says plainly that return points aren't market prices.
